The BSB Vision: why we built the B30

The BSB Vision: why we built the B30

The BSB Vision

Home mining has been a remix for years. The same handful of reference designs, rebuilt and rebadged by nearly everyone, us included. Bitaxe. Octaxe. Qaxe. We learned an enormous amount from that era. It's over.

The BSB B30, a 30 TH/s home Bitcoin miner

So we built our own box

Not another spin on someone else's schematic. A miner designed from the ground up, on a platform built for large scale manufacturing, safety certification and real efficiency, with firmware we write ourselves and stand behind.

That's the BSB B30.

The new chip is the whole point

Every miner in the home space has been squeezing the same silicon for years. The B30 is built around the new BM1373, and that single change is what unlocks everything else on this page.

The old generation gave you roughly 1.8 TH/s in a Bitaxe Gamma, or 8 TH/s from four BM1370s working together in a NerdQX. The B30 does 30 TH/s in one box, on 360 to 450W. That's around 12 to 15 J/TH, meaningfully more efficient than anything else we sell. It's the chip doing the work, not clever marketing.

B30: $799 ÷ 30 TH/s. The cheapest terahash we have ever shipped, and the whole reason we stopped iterating on reference designs.

The goal was never another miner. It's to drop the $/TH for everyone.

We went to where miners are actually made

You can't design a box like this from a laptop. We spent time on the floor of the factories in China, because that's where the world's mining hardware ecosystem actually lives. The ASICs, the suppliers, the testing rigs, the manufacturing expertise. All of it.

Georges, on the line. This is where the B30 gets built.

Being there is what lets us cut manufacturing cost while improving quality and consistency. Proper safety certification, proper testing, at a scale a garage built reference design will never reach.

One firmware. Ours.

We write the firmware in house, from the ground up, and it's closed source. Not everyone will like that. But it means one official build, with one team accountable for every line in it. No mystery factory image. No reseller modified binary quietly pointing your hashrate at someone else's pool while the dashboard says everything is fine.

It also means we can move fast, and ship the features you actually ask for. If you want to build an open alternative on our hardware, go for it. Genuinely. We just won't warranty it.

And this is only the beginning. You'd be surprised what's already in the pipeline.
