How To Restore A Bitaxe Gamma 602
Follow each step below to complete the guide.







Connect the USB-C cable.
Unplug the Bitaxe.
Windows Users:
Plug in a USB-C to the Bitaxe under the screen and then into your computer.
Mac Users:
You will NEED to use a USB-C to USB A cable. Connect the C end to the bitaxe and the A into a hub or adapter, then into your Mac (USB-C to USB-C will not work)
Now power on the unit.
Visit the site.
Click here to visit the site we need to be on. NEEDS TO BE IN CHROME!
Then press connect. And select JTAG/SERIAL option that pops up. And connect again.
Check if detected.
You should see a bunch of information show up in the black screen window.
Similar to:
Crystal is 40MHz
Detecting chip type... ESP32-S3
If you see this go to next step.
Download the factory file.
Visit here. Download the esp-miner-factory.bin for the Bitaxe Gamma 602 1.5TH/s.
Change Flash Address.
Back on the ESP website, change the flash address from "0x1000" to "0x0000".
Flash it.
Press the choose file button and select the esp-miner file we downloaded from before. Then press program.
You will start to see progress in the black window. Don't do anything until you see.

Leaving...
Hard resetting via RTS pin..."
This happens AFTER 100% and File md5.
Now you can remove the power and usb cable. Then plug back in the miner. Go to next step.
Self test.
You will see on the display the unit is doing a self test. When all is good it will ask to press the reset button. It's on the side of the cooler. Press it and the unit will be back to factory.
