Top 5 Home Bitcoin Miners of 2026
The Top 5 Home Bitcoin Miners of 2026
Every number on this page comes straight from the spec sheet of a machine we stock and ship. Two charts decide the argument: how many joules each machine burns per terahash, and how many dollars it costs to buy each terahash. Then the full spec table for every unit, so you can check our work.
Efficiency · joules per terahash
Lower is better. This is what your power bill cares about.
Computed from each product page: watts at the wall divided by hashrate. The B30 range reflects its published 360 to 450W draw.
Price per terahash · dollars
Lower is better. This is what your wallet cares about on day one.
Computed from live store pricing divided by rated hashrate. Prices in USD as of September 2026.
The Ranking
Bitfortun BS-2
Water cooled, quiet, and built around the part that usually fails first. The voltage regulators sit on the back of the board so the fan blows across them constantly. Two of the new BM1373 chips, a compact water block, an onboard screen, and a genuine Meanwell power supply in the box. At $360 it is the strongest complete package of 2026.

Harlo B30
Thirty terahash from the new BM1373 chips with the best efficiency of anything on this list. The B30 is the most serious desk unit Harlo Labs has shipped, with a built in power supply and enough hashrate to feel like real infrastructure while still living in a quiet room. It exists because the Harlo crew flew to China and built it with the manufacturer directly, and that story is below.

Why the BM1373 changed home mining in 2026
Four of the five machines on this page are built on Bitmain's new BM1373. For years, home miners ran a chip generation or two behind the industrial farms. This chip closed the gap: the B30 runs it at 12 to 15 joules per terahash out of the box, and tuners have pushed single chip boards under 11, which is flagship territory. That is why 2026 is the first year a machine on your desk plays in the same efficiency league as a warehouse.
We did not rank these machines from spec sheets alone. We went to China and sat down with the manufacturers who build them, on the factory floor, to see how the new chips are tuned, cooled, and assembled, and where the next generation can improve. The Harlo crew documents those visits on camera: the boards, the thermal design decisions, the conversations with the engineers. Getting our hands dirty at the source is how machines like the B30 end up on this list.

Magic Miner 40T
The most hashrate per dollar you can buy in a desktop tower, and now tunable: dial it to 30 terahash at 450W for quiet nights, 40 at 650W as the daily driver, or 50 at 840W when you want everything the silicon has. Pointed at your own node, mining for the full block reward. Nothing else on this list gets you this much lottery ticket per dollar spent.

Bitfortun BS-1
One BM1373 chip, ninety five watts, and a genuine Meanwell supply in the box for $229. Three independent reviewers put wall meters on this family and every one of them measured at or under the published number. If it is your first miner, start here.

Hammer Miner BC04
Six terahash at roughly one hundred watts for $239. The BC04 quietly undercuts most of the six terahash class on price while staying simple: plug it in, point it at a pool, let it run.

Home mining at these hashrates is a lottery, not an income. A machine in this class finds a solo block very rarely, on the order of one chance in a million on any given day. Buy the machine because you want to run one, not because of what it might find. No earnings are promised or implied.
