On July 17, 2026 we tried something new. We opened a Kickstarter style presale for a miner that did not exist yet in its final form, and we asked you to back it.
You did. This is the story of the Magic Miner 40T so far, told with the real numbers, and a thank you to everyone who took that leap with us.
A $649 leap of faith
Wave 1 opened at $649. What we could offer was an estimate, not a spec sheet: 40 TH/s at about 800 W, roughly 20 J/TH, with the final specs still unconfirmed.
59 of you backed it anyway. Every one of those orders was a bet that we would get the details right, and we have not forgotten that.

What the bench says now
Then the 40T went on the bench, and it came back better than we promised. Measured at the wall in a 26 C room, it runs 40 TH/s in Standard mode at about 650 W. That is about 16 J/TH.
For a machine that lives in your home, that gap matters. Going from about 800 W to about 650 W at the same 40 TH/s means less heat in the room and less load on the circuit.

Made to live in your home
Inside are BM1370 chips and a built in power supply rated 94 percent efficient. It takes a standard IEC C14 cord, so it plugs straight into a normal wall outlet.
It connects over dual band WiFi or Ethernet. It was built to sit on a desk or a shelf, not in a rack.

Three modes, one quiet night
You pick how hard it runs from the dashboard. Eco drops it to 30 TH/s at about 450 W for quieter overnight running, and Turbo unlocks the full 50 TH/s at about 850 W.
You do not have to take our word for any of it. The Hobbyist Miner unboxed and tested the 40T on his channel, and Harlo Labs ran it through its power modes.

From one wave to six batches
The waves became batches as more of you found the 40T. Here is the short version.
- July 17, 2026. The first orders come in and Wave 1 opens at $649.
- August 16. Wave 2 opens at $749 as Wave 1 winds down.
- September 18. Batch 3 opens at $799 and sells out, and a bonus Batch 4 follows it.
- September 28. Batch 5 sells out. Batch 6 opens with 50 units at $799, shipping November 21, 2026.
By the morning of September 28 there were 236 miners on order from 204 backers, a little over $177,000 in presales. That makes the 40T one of the best selling machines in our store.
Where it stands, honestly
The boards are assembled and the first samples are on the bench now. The custom firmware and the new dashboard are still in active development.
Batches 1 to 4 ship from the end of October, Batch 5 follows on November 14 and Batch 6 on November 21. Freight can move a date by a week or two, and if anything changes you will see it on the product page first.
We would rather tell you exactly where things are than promise a date we cannot keep.
