What's a mining pool?
Your miner joins lots of other miners working on the same block. Mining alone, you only get paid if you find a block yourself. In a pool, every block anyone finds pays out to the people mining.
Why Bitcoin Cash?
It runs on the same SHA-256 miners as Bitcoin, with far fewer machines competing. So the same home miner has about 280 times better odds of hitting a block. No new hardware needed.
