Beamable Node Setup Guide + Soarchain Rewards End | DePIN
Welcome back to our DePIN weekly. The Beamable node setup guide is live, and we break down what it means whether you self-host or go hosted. We also cover a key Wingbits redemption update, Soarchain ending Mini driving rewards, and two new network spotlights: FliteGrid and MastChain.
DePIN ROI recap (snapshot)
Here’s a quick snapshot of average daily earnings and rough ROI horizons reported this week:
- Helium WiFi — ~$1.69/day; estimated ROI ~103–714 days
- WeatherXM — ~$0.10/day; estimated ROI ~4,000 days
- GEODNET — ~$1.80/day; estimated ROI ~386 days
- Aethir Edge — ~$0.29/day; estimated ROI ~4,827 days
- Entropy — ~$0.36/day; estimated ROI ~562 days
- Nubila Marco — ~$0.10/day; estimated ROI ~2,990 days
Estimates change with token prices, rewards schedules, and deployment quality. Do your own research.
Beamable node setup guide released

Beamable has finally published their setup guide, including how to run and operate a node. For most, the simplest path is paying DeEEP $42/year for hosted service. If you prefer to self-host, you’ll need a Helius API key and a Docker setup with the right environment variables and compose files. If those terms don’t sound familiar, the DeEEP hosted option is probably the way to go. Source
Wingbits rewards update: it’s $0.005, not $0.0005

Quick correction from last week: the short-term USDC redemption rate is $0.005 per Wings Reward, not $0.0005. Everything else remains the same.
Wingbits confirmed its TGE won’t happen in the expected window and is offering a pre-launch redemption option through the dashboard from Dec 1–10. Users with 15,000+ Wings Rewards can redeem up to 50%, but doing so forfeits the 20% online bonus that would otherwise come after TGE. This redemption rate isn’t the official token price. Source
If you’re installing rooftop gear for Wingbits, a surge protector can help safeguard your setup — consider the Wingbits Lightning Arrestor.
Soarchain kills off Mini driving rewards

Soarchain announced the Soarchain Mini will be retired. Starting January 1, 2026, Minis will no longer earn daily driving rewards. After that date, rewards will come only from dashcam data contributions and future sensor workloads that support Soarchain’s AI stack.
Mini owners still have network value: registered Mini wallets receive bonus multipliers on dashcam mapping rewards, with additional benefits tied to upcoming Physical AI features. The update is meant to better align incentives with Soarchain’s goal of high-quality, verifiable real-world data for AI systems. Source

FliteGrid: securing the skies

FliteGrid is a US-only (for now) drone-tracking DePIN from SkySafe. You pre-order a plug-and-play sensor, mount it with clear sky view, and it passively detects nearby drone activity to feed a national visibility map. In return, you earn network rewards for verified coverage.
What makes this different: SkySafe already operates in drone intelligence for government and enterprise, so FliteGrid scales proven tech via a community network. With drones getting cheaper and more capable, low-altitude airspace visibility is becoming essential for safety and accountability. Source
MastChain: securing the waters

MastChain is building a decentralized AIS (Automatic Identification System) network for ship tracking. You deploy an AIS receiver/node, it captures vessel signals, MastChain verifies data on-chain, and you earn MAST tokens based on coverage quality, reliability, and location.
Maritime AIS data underpins shipping, logistics, insurance, and security. MastChain plans to sell verified AIS streams via enterprise APIs and use a portion of revenue for open-market buybacks to support rewards. It’s DIY-only for now (super early), similar to early Wingbits days, with typical AIS DIY setups around ~$100–$200. Stream
JD’s take

Beamable’s self-hosting route is more technical than I expected — grabbing external API keys and wiring up Docker will be too involved for many. Most folks are better off paying DeEEP to host it.
On Wingbits, correction noted — I fat-fingered an extra zero last week. The short-term redemption is $0.005.
Soarchain killing off their hardware surprised me a bit, but the Mini was a tough device to live with, so this pivot toward data quality for AI may be the right long-term call.
New projects this week were interesting. FliteGrid looks strong — their webinar explains the problem and solution clearly. My favorite is MastChain: a fresh take on ship-tracking DePIN, and it’s DIY right now. If you live near water, it’s worth a look; the founders are active in Discord.
