DePIN News: Wingbits Recall, TGE Rewards Shift & GEODNET Bonus Boost

DePIN News: Wingbits Recall, TGE Rewards Shift & GEODNET Bonus Boost

Bitcoin hovers around $116K. Solana is in the $230 range, while DePIN tokens surge, with GEODNET ($GEOD) up on migration bonus rewards and Aethir ($ATH) up this week. Wingbits preps for TGE with beta mainnet reward distribution and HYFIX unit updates, as Helium introduces custom SSIDs for smoother hotspot deployments.

GEODNET: Limited-time migration bonus

GEODNET is offering a migration bonus for transferring tokens from Polygon to Solana between September 15 and October 14.

Why this bonus? As part of the transition to the Solana network, 4,000,000 GEOD tokens have been allocated to reward early participants who migrate from Polygon.

Bonus details

  • 0.4% reward per token transferred
  • Bonus distributed after October 15
  • Rewards sent to the Solana wallet used for migration

Start your migration at sol.geodnet.com.

If you’re expanding coverage on GEODNET, consider hardware options like the 5x Bundle Geodnet MobileCM (Triple-band) or 10x Bundle Geodnet MobileCM (Triple-band).

Wingbits TGE: Claiming changes, beta mainnet rewards & Roam partnership

Wingbits introduced a new 7-day claim grace period. Newly earned tokens become claimable 7 days after accrual to support long-term network stability.

Beta rewards at TGE

  • Immediate unlock at mainnet: 5% of your total beta rewards released right away, plus a 20% bonus on that unlocked portion.
  • Vesting: Remaining 95% released daily over 12 months.
  • Online bonus: Keep your station online for an additional 20% bonus on daily rewards (offline stations receive base rewards only).

Example: If you earned 10,000 tokens during beta:
• Day 1: 600 tokens (500 base + 100 bonus).
• Days 2–365: ~26 tokens/day from the remaining 9,500.
• Online station: ~31.2 tokens/day with the 20% bonus; offline: ~26 tokens/day.

These tokenomics reduce immediate sell pressure at TGE and reward consistent participation. Short-term sellers may find less liquidity at launch, while long-term operators benefit from steady emissions.

Wingbits x Roam: Toward plug‑and‑play deployments

Wingbits x Roam partnership banner

Roam, a global connectivity project, enables eSIM and Wi‑Fi coverage across hard-to-reach areas. A recent proof of concept flashed a physical SIM with Roam’s eSIM technology and ran a Wingbits device via a 4G LTE module. With power and proximity to Roam coverage, the unit connected without Ethernet—pointing toward true plug‑and‑play Wingbits deployments.

How Alex made nearly $900K from Helium: A rooftop hustle story

Alex Helium success story banner

Alex, a satellite & HVAC installer in NYC, turned rooftops into a passive-income engine. He started with nine Helium radios (~$35,000), tested locations for signal and landlord access, sold some tokens near peak (~$400,000), and later pivoted to Helium Mobile & Wi‑Fi radios in high-traffic venues.

Looking to deploy like Alex? Explore fleet bundles for real‑world installs: 20x Bundle Helium Mobile WiFi Indoor Hotspot and 10x Bundle Helium Mobile Outdoor Wifi Hotspot.

Heads up: HYFIX Wingbits static issue and protecting your unit

HYFIX Wingbits static issue

Some HYFIX Wingbits units are experiencing static buildup that can damage the LNA. A total of 3,990 units are affected, even if they appear to be functioning. We’ve published diagnostics and support forms to help you verify and resolve issues. Read the guide.

To help mitigate surge risk in outdoor installs, consider the Wingbits Lightning Arrestor.
