Tutorial guide

How to set up your Harlo B1

Follow each step below to complete the guide.

Guide progress 1 / 6
Connect the power supply.
Connect to WiFi.
Visit the dashboard.
Point it at a pool.
Check that it is working.
Step 1

Connect the power supply.

Place the miner on the included stand. Plug the USB C adapter into the miner first, then plug the adapter into the wall. The built in display should light up as it starts.

NOTE: When unplugging the unit, always do it from the wall first then the unit second. This prevents problems.

Step 2

Connect to WiFi.

After about a minute you should see a new WiFi network from the miner. Join it from your phone or computer.

If you do not see it, wait a full minute, move closer to the miner, and look again. You can also power the miner off and on, then wait for the network to appear.

Step 3

Fill in the info.

While you are connected to the miner network, open a browser and go to 192.168.4.1.

Enter your home WiFi name and password, then press save, and restart.

The Harlo B1 uses 2.4 GHz WiFi only. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one name, use the 2.4 GHz network.

Step 4

Visit the dashboard.

Join your home WiFi again on your phone or computer. After the miner restarts, the display shows the IP address.

Type this IP into your web browser. The dashboard should open without a login.

If the dashboard does not load, make sure you are not on a guest network, and check that the address matches what the display shows.

Step 5

Point it at a pool.

Open the pool settings on the dashboard.

To mine Bitcoin Cash on Harlo Pool, set the following:

Host: pool.harlolabs.com
Port: 8888
Username: your Bitcoin Cash address, then a period, then a short worker name
Password: x

If the screen has one box for the full pool address instead of a separate host and port, use stratum+tcp://pool.harlolabs.com:8888.

If the screen has a TLS or encrypted connection option, leave it off.

You can point the Harlo B1 at a Bitcoin pool instead if you want to mine Bitcoin. Harlo Pool is the Bitcoin Cash option.

Then save your settings. Restart if the dashboard asks you to.

Step 6

Check that it is working.

After a few minutes, look at the dashboard and the built in display for hashrate near the mode you selected, a connected pool, and rejected shares near zero.

Leave it on Normal mode for the first run. Normal mode is about 1.2TH/s at 22W. Overclock mode is about 1.5TH/s at 31W.

Owners who verify their Helium Deploy purchase email and mine on Harlo Pool get 3x free spins. Multipliers do not stack.
