How to Set Up Your NerdQaxe++

Welcome to Helium Deploy! This guide walks you through getting your NerdQaxe++ up and running in six quick steps. Follow them in order — the whole process takes about five minutes.

Unbox and connect to power

Take your NerdQaxe++ out of the box. Connect the yellow XT30 connector from your power supply to the matching connector on the miner, then plug the power supply into a wall outlet. The screen will light up and the miner will boot.

Important: always unplug the power supply from the wall before disconnecting the XT30 connector from the miner. Disconnecting under load can damage the unit.

Connect to the miner's WiFi

Wait a minute or two for the miner to start up. On your phone or computer, open your WiFi settings — a new network named NerdQaxe_XXXX (the last four characters are unique to your device) will appear. Join it. A setup window should pop up automatically.

Open Settings

In the setup window, find the menu on the left side and click Settings.

Enter your WiFi information

Under WiFi Settings, fill in your home network details:

  • Hostname — optional; you can leave the default.
  • WiFi Network (SSID) — the name of your home WiFi.
  • WiFi Password — the password for that network.

Scroll down, save, and restart

Scroll to the bottom of the settings page. Click SAVE, then click RESTART. The miner must restart for your changes to take effect.

Access your dashboard

After it reboots, the miner connects to your home WiFi and displays an IP address at the top of its screen (for example 10.70.0.123). Type that IP address into a web browser on any device on the same network to open your full mining dashboard.

You're about 90% there 🎉
