Installation

Installing GEODNET is straightforward, with deployment with a clear line of sight being recommended, with a 10 degree angle with no obstructions. This ensures maximum satellite connectivity which is needed to lock your hex and earn the location NFT. Any negative factors will result in bad GNSS signal quality. Obstructions and interference from over-hanging trees will result in poor GNSS signal quality further. In the backend system, GEODNET monitors the GNSS signal quality and issue GEOD tokens based on the GNSS signal quality.

What is Hex locking?

Hex locking allows a Geodnet miner to secure the rewards of his hex. Once a hex is locked, the owner will receive a NFT and earn full rewards regardless of other miners entering his hex. If a hex is not locked, rewards are split among all the miners in a hex. To lock a hex, the miner must maintain a rolling rewards rate of at least 98% for 30 days.

What is a Super Hex?

You may have noticed on the Geodnet Console large blue hexes comprised of 7 smaller hexes. These super hexes provided booster rewards up to 12x base rewards. The first miner in the super hex claims full rewards multiplier regardless of hex locking. Subsequent miners will still earn a reduced multipler.

How much is $GEOD tokens can my miner earn?

Daily base rewards are calculated as 24 $GEOD tokens x Rolling Rewards Rate specific to your miner. If you do no lock your hex, these rewards are further reduced by 25% to 50% depending on the amount of miners within your hex.

How are $GEOD token payouts made?

$GEOD token payouts are made to the owner's wallet whenever the balance of mined tokens reaches 24 $GEOD. You need a polygon wallet to receive payouts and we recommend using MetaMask to create your wallet. The wallet address must be syncronized to the Geodnet console. Make sure to tick "token issuance" in the console to receive your tokens.
