Will it pay for itself?
Honestly, at most home power rates the mining does not cover the electricity, and that is not why people buy these. At 12 cents a kWh this one draws about $13 a month. What you are buying is a real, repeating shot at a whole block, plus coin that is yours from the moment it is mined. If your power is cheap or you run solar the maths gets much friendlier. Set your own rate in the calculator on this page and it will show you exactly where you land.
Will it heat my room?
Almost everything it draws comes back out as heat, so at 150 W it puts out roughly 512 BTU an hour. That is a noticeable warm patch, enough to take the chill off a small room but not to heat one on its own. In winter it is warmth you were going to pay for anyway. In summer, put it somewhere you are not trying to cool.
Solo or pool, what is the difference?
Solo means this unit draws for the entire block reward on its own. You get nothing until you hit one, and then you get all of it. Pool means you join your 10 TH/s to everyone else's and take a small, steady share instead. It does both, you pick in the dashboard, and your solo odds move with hashrate and difficulty only. Cheaper power never improves them, it only lowers your bill.
How loud is it, really?
It is rated at about 50 dB, roughly a desk fan or a quiet dishwasher across a room. You will hear it, and you can talk over it. Being straight with you: that is the manufacturer's rating, not a measurement we took ourselves, and rooms differ. If it has to share a bedroom, put it on the far side and run it in its quietest mode.
Can I overclock or turn it down?
Turning it down is easy and a lot of owners run that way overnight, where it uses less power and makes less noise. Any modes this unit ships with are listed in its specs on this page, and you switch between them from the dashboard. Pushing it past its rated modes is a different matter: overclocking is not something we recommend or support, so keep it inside what the dashboard offers.

Not sure what you pay? It's on your bill as cents per kWh, or divide the monthly total by the kWh used. If your bill is tiered, use the highest tier you reach: a miner runs around the clock, so its power lands in that top band rather than the cheap baseline one.
Solo pays nothing until you hit a whole block, and then it pays the whole thing. Those odds move with hashrate and difficulty only, so cheaper power never improves them. It only lowers your bill. Pool mining pays small amounts steadily instead.

Love them, got 3 in, easy assembly, had them all hooked up and mining, in about 15 minutes, had to find my screwdriver. I have them mining on 2 different pools, trying to compare them. The pools I am on $1.50 to $2.00 a month. Hooked them to a solar generator to save on electricity. Very quiet. That is seven miners in the room, 5 are from Helium Deploy. 2 more on the way. Shipping was a little slow, but I think worth the wait.

The Nerdqaxe Rev 6 was impressive. Came with a Meanwell PSU. The miner with a new 3D printed Base, a shroud that directs cooling to the vrm's, an additional fan for the rear to divert more heat away from the unit. I just set it up, out of box already hashing about 6.2 without tweaking anything myself. I have more enroute to me and plan on buying other units as well.

It came on overclock mode and was making alot of noise, but i fixed the settings to normal and now its Supra Silent... It has never managed to get a block rejected which is impressive after 300K+ shares. It was very easy to set up!🧙♀️

Being that this is only advertised at 10 terahesh. It's turning consistently 11.5 to 12 tH Straight Out of the Box without any tuning or modification. It just plugs away and I'm hoping to be able to turn up some power and tweak it a bit to get some more efficiency out of it
